Listed below of some prechecks the client needs to perform during the dayold chicks collection, placing and growing process. Dayold chicks are sensitive and hence should be treated with care. Completing this form will help us to assist you with any collection, placement and growing problems.

Please advise the temperature of the brooder at the height of 20cm from the floor.
Please advise the material type you are using to cover the coops floor.
Please advise how many feeders you have in the brooder.
Please advise how many drinkers you have in the brooder.
Please advise type of heat source you using to heat the brooder (fire, coal, wood, heat lamp etc) and how many you have
Please explain how you ventilate the coop and brooder on daily basis.
Please detail the bio-security measure implemented to protect the coop and brooder from infection and disease
How many hours of light are the chicks exposed to in the first week of brooding per day ?
How often is the water changed and replaced with clean water. How are the drinkers managed and cleaned.
How often is feed given and how much per chick ? What brand and type of feed is being used for the first week of brooding. How are the feeders managed and cleaned.
Please detail the process you used to place the chicks in the coop / brooder.
Please detail how the chicks was transported to the coop where they are being placed. Share details on time taken to travel, time of day, storage conditions on the vehicle etc.
Detail the external weather conditions for the first week (raining, windy, hot, cold). Share day and night time temperatures and amount of rained received
Please provide the size of your brooder and coop.
Please upload pictures of your coop and brooders showing chick location, floor covering, feeder and drinker placement etc
Please detail any additional vaccinations given to the chicks and when.
Please detail any additional medications or supplements given to the chicks and when placing then and during the first week.
Why is FCR important? Feed Conversion Ratios are important because they help the farmer to know how much amount of feed will be required in the growth cycle of animals. This serves as a powerful tool by letting the farmer know what choices he should make in order to maximize the profitability of his business
If the FCR ratio is not correct, then it means your chickens will not grow as per plan and get to target size in the respective weeks due to many potential issues.
Please provide the details below for the 4 or 6 weeks for the broilers you are growing. This helps us to validate the FCR ratio by week and ensure the growth rates are proper and that chicks are meeting their weekly growth targets.
